Under the hard canopy and behind the hard doors lives a Rotax® ACE in-line 3-cylinder, 4-stroke heart: 999 cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, and eager. With 95 hp at 7000 RPM and 70 ft-lbs of torque, it has the punch to feel fun and the muscle to feel useful. The PDrive CVT keeps things smooth, with hi/low range and reverse ready whenever the trail turns tight or the load turns heavy. It sips regular gas, and the 30-amp alternator (1700 watts) keeps the electrical side confident when your day starts early and ends late.
This Defender is built for real terrain, not parking-lot posing. A steel frame, full length skid plate, front bash plate, and brush guard help it shrug off the rough stuff, while 14 inches of ground clearance and independent double A-arm suspension (12 inches of travel front and rear, with adjustable pre-load) keep the ride composed over ruts, rocks, and washouts. Rolling on 15-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 30-inch XPS Trac Force knobby tires, it finds grip when the ground quits cooperating. When you need to slow things down, dual hydraulic discs up front and in back bring confident control.
Inside, it’s made to bring the crew: a 3-seat bench with folding capability and headrests, plus 2 cupholders because long days deserve small comforts.
